On July 2, I went to the Gegharot Kurgans with Tebo, Hannah, and Levon. Tebo was working on Kurgan 3 while Levon, Hannah, and I were working at the second kurgan. Levon oversaw the removal of backdirt on the central chamber, while Hannah and I did the same on the Western chamber. They then started cleaning the walls etc. of the central chamber, while Hannah and I started to take out the exposed vessels in the Western Chamber. However, this lead to further surprises. The broken vessel that Hannah was removing had a stand beneath it. The vessel that i attempted to remove in the south-western corner turned out to be a broken karas or large jar with a pig bone located on top of it. It also looks like there are the leg bones of a subadult in the tomb. I took 2 soil sample bags from the karas/jar.
