In the morning today we performed some drone overflights of Aragatsi Berd and the Aragatsi Berd Kurgans, a 20 minute flight that produced excellent imagery.
Our efforts today in AB4 focused on the opening and continued descent and wall cleaning in locus 34, as well as cleaning activities in locus 30 related to burial definition. Work in locus 34, at trench center, continued the removal of vertical passes of the silty matrix and rock pulling and pushing back of wall fall in a westerly direction. Material densities here continue to be moderate, with ample charcoal inclusions.
In trench west, locus 30, we moved forward from two vantage points--the removal of topsoil colluvium from west of the developing wall and the continued pulling of floating rocks around the burial.
