A quick final day completed the 2014 season for Aragatsi Berd. We cleaned the entire trench and took final photos, followed by drawing of the eastern portion of the northern operation section (baulk rocks and slope incline prevented the recording of a complete northern section), and finally the commencement of backfilling.
There are multiple, numerous potential expansions for AB4: uphill over the EB room (11m before the citadel wall/rockiness) and towards the citadel (23m away), downslope towards other EB deposits as the terrace continues to its wall (11m), and horizontally across the remainder of the room framed by the locus 4 and 45 walls (approx. 7m of space). All of these potential movements will be explored in concert with the overall direction of future ArAGATS research foci.
