Today we walked two transects, 11 and 12, of the Kasagh Valley Archaeological survey. For Transect 11 we walked along the north ridge of the peaks that formed the valley. along the top of the ridge was a cluster of cromlechs that were likely disturbed during a soviet foresting project. Lower on the slope of the hill, I found one piece of obsisdian. from the top of the transect all the sites were visible : Tsaghgahovit, Gegharot, and Aparani Berd.
During transect 12 we walked down from the peak we were on and on the souther side of the hill. Starting north of the first and just beneath a rocky outcropping there, along cow paths, and all the way to the base of the hill there was a scattering of obsidian and a few non-diagnostic sherd. Lower down in the valley I found one more sherd.
