Due to Vartavar and various ArAGATS foundation related activities, today was a half workday for the KVAS expedition. We walked two transects (one south, one north) wherein we seemed to collect minimal data. The most frequently recorded encounter was soviet era irrigation equipment. These present themselves most often as regularly as sprinkler or irrigation heads that are just over 1 meter in length. Specifically, they are pipes set into concrete. It is important to note that in this transect (15), signal issues prevented some of our GIS data collection, especially during the first half of the trek.
In transect 16 we discovered a number of isolated burials and some architectural segments. The plan from here on out is to complete this northern portion of survey region west of Aparan -- much of which is in view of Aparani Berd.
