Due to some seriously ominous clouds and lightening we were forced to stop surveying this morning in the middle of Transect 25. This southbound transect was just east of yesterday's. Before we abandoned ship, however, we noted the presence of an impressively large settlement (Ar/Ni.ICL15.36). These walls were quite extensive. Some of them appeared to comprise corridors (two walls running parallel to one another) as well as a number of rooms. Some of which encompassed burial cluster Ar/Ni.ICL15.26. At the present moment it is unclear if this area is explicitly related to what appears to be another fortress atop the hill. So far, this settlement is the largest and most intricate that we have encountered. We hope to further explore this relationship tomorrow.
