Narrative

Today we walked the final transects of the Ar/Ni region in the eastern-most wedge of the southern half which was not filled with private land. Transect 31 ran south and we encountered a few terraces and walls carved out of bedrock. Also surface finds were limited to a few flakes of obsidian and one non-diagnostic sherd. Transect 32 ran North and we encountered and named a new fortress Ar/Ni.SAB15.63. The fortress had a long corridor carved out of bedrock and the hill with the corridor had terraces below. I also located a potential Isolated Cromlech with rocks that seemed to have been piled on top more recently. Transect 32 was the final transect of the region and ran south. We recorded more terracing and walls and another long corridor and decided to name another fortress associated with the corridor which we named Ar/Ni.SAB15.66.
