Today was a full and productive day of surveying! Working in the west-central portion of the southern Nigavan quadrant we walked a new southern transect, and returned north on the half transect we began yesterday (but abandoned due to bad weather). We then walked another two transects, one in the south and one in the north.
Ian, Salpi, Alan and I continued to record what appears to be in the general region of Nigavan Settlement 05 and several significant burials clusters as we moved west.
Probably the most *interesting* encounter in our transect was the apparent continuation of a lengthy corridor / "road to nowhere" that leads SW from Nigavan 05. It stretches for about 1 km along a major drainage rim amidst several clusters of burials.
