Narrative

Today was taken up almost entirely by drone collection of aerial photography at Gegharot and Tsaghkahovit. In the afternoon, we walked a single transect from west to east across the western portion of the Ar/Lu survey quadrant.

My transect passed south of the major burial cluster in this area, the vicinity of the first ArAGATS operation in Ar/Lu. However, I did record an interesting Medieval cemetery with what appeared to be carved headstones featuring simple crosses. Poor data connection prevented the GPS collection of each stone, but at least 3 definitive headstones were present. Additional hay harvesting will assist in the identification.

The remainder of the transect was quite wet and marshy and no additional sites came into my view. Tomorrow we will continue with aerial fortress photography and Ar/Lu survey.
