Today we spent some time searching the areas just across the Kasakh from Aparani Berd which had turned up the largest concentration of Obsidian tools and debitage. We gathered a significant amount of materials before we descended into the gorge and again found quite a bit of surface materials especially near caves. We moved over to the Ar/Ar region to do the same with equally successful results. We walked one transect today in the Ar/Ar region heading East. Transect 41 ran through three deep and steep gulleys as well as some soviet era forests. I did not encounter anything but a few small obsidian scatters.
