Today I began excavating at Aparani Berd 01 with Lori. We began with Locus 15 as a probe, but Lori hit soft soil and we are unsure if it is an intrusion. Locus 13, and 12 are behind the walls. I am beginning a new locus on the south side of the trench which started off as a probe. However, after digging 14 for awhile we decided to level off the rest of the trench.
Pottery, bone, and obsidian were all found in the trench. A small find of a fish hook / or needle was found in my locus (15). Lori point provisioned the hook, and it was collected as a small find.
The trench contains many rocks which the workers cleared.
