When we arrived at the trench in the morning the larger rock which was in the south west corner of the trench was found knocked off of it pedestal. We decided to move the rock into the trench and work around it since it was too large to move out of the trench.
We started a new locus (20) which corresponds with the levels of 16 & 15. We decided to take 10cm off of the locus. We appeared to have hit bedrock in part of the trench. Mainly close to the easterly stone wall. We continued to clear larger stones off the bottom of the trench floor. In the afternoon it began to rain and we had to quit excavating. This left the trench with 1/2 of the locus broken up.
The rest of the day was spent beginning pottery identification.
