Even with the rain the previous day, the soil in the trench was still able to be shoveled out and screened. This allowed us to move quickly finishing off the trench. I began by cleaning the walls, and the workers started to remove soil behind the walls in locus 10.
We opened and closed locus 21 which was above the bedrock. This included removing the potter disk which was found. We are still unclear what this is, but we removed soil for flotation in order to get a better understanding. Pottery found in the lower part of this trench appears to be associated with the EBA.
Today was the last day at Aparani Berd 01. After the boys finished their locus we swept each area and I took final elevations and photography.
