Today we walked part of Transect 1 starting from the southern border of the Tsaghkahovit survey. The transect was heading east and I was only able to make it about a third of the way through my transect before we were rained out by a strong thunderstorm. However, after the very beginning of the transect which was a tilled field with planted barley I encountered a long wall that curved and disappeared into a water canal or runoff. There was also a rather large burial cluster with a number of cist burials paved with larger pebbles. These burials, with the exception of a few were within the area between the long wall and the water runoff. Additionally I found a single piece of worked obsidian which had been broken in half along the ends of the water runoff. Also, earlier in the day we visited last year's survey area where I found a full obsidian blade.
