First day of survey. Morning spent looking at fortresses for possible test trench excavations. Road to nowhere possible location. Began transect 1 in the nigivan area. Due to rain we needed to end early. Ended 1000 meters to transect end 440896 44978823. Some burials were on the transect. There were natural rock fields that were difficult to determine if there were any anthropogenic features amongst them. However some large graves with cromelichs were found and one possible mounded kurgan.
