The first day of fieldwork today with Alan, Salpi, Shujing, Amy, Karen and myself. We started the day by taking the newbies up to some of the Nigavan ridge top sites to show them the kind of surface architecture we were finding last year. After walking around a bit, we had lunch (after a late start due to vehicle taking crew up to Gegharot), and drove around to Nigavan town to begin our survey. We are connecting to the 2000 Tsagh Plain survey, and so chose the SE point of the 2000 Nigavan quadrant to begin this section of our survey area, and we will work our way south with 2km long E-W transects. We only finished less than one transect before a big rainstorm forced us to call it a day. I found one small burial cluster (Ar/Ni.ICL16.01).
