Our work was shortened today by rain, although we were able to complete two transects (20 and 21) and begin a third (22) before having to leave the Nigavan survey quadrant for Aparan. It was a hot morning and the transects were rather unproductive and full of barley fields, before our northern arrival to Nigavan Settlement 1, which should prove much more productive. Amelioration and agricultural activity have very much eliminated the cultural material here.
Our attempt at transect 22 was thwarted by rain, although Karen was able to finish his transects and encounter the initial portions of Nigavan Settlement 1. We should be able to complete this survey quadrant on Monday.
