Cleaned, sketched, photographed, and removed horse mandible feature (locus 4). Lots of large stones around the feature. The ashy gray soil went down for another few centimeters before hitting yellow-orange gravelly bedrock layer. This bedrock level is locus 5. The tan clayey soil (locus 3) surrounding the locus 4 feature is still going down until hitting the locus 5 bedrock. The clay is denser at the bottom of the locus, but lacks a color change and artifact count has dropped toward the bottom. The northern half of the trench is about 30cm higher and just at end of locus 2, which is marked by the apparent bottom of the large stone defensive wall. The next locus will be locus 6 since it isn't the same soil as the adjacent locus 3.
