Today we walked a number of short transects in the Kuchak region moving south in east/west transects to and from the main highway. When that section was finished we continued in the Kuchak region doing north/south transects closer to Aragats. This region had sparse architecture and surface collections, perhaps as a result of being further away from a water source. Transects 31 and 32 held nothing, probably as the result of many fields being there. Transect 33 had a small artifact scatter of obsidian. Transect 34 and 35 again held nothing and Transect 36 again had a small scatter of obsidian. Transect 37 had an artifact scatter containing sherds and obsidian and was the first north/south transect in the region. Transect 38 did not have anything again.
