A full day of work!! We worked on locus 2 in the SW part of Trench 01, cleaning around the cromlech ring. There are quite a few small rocks and cobbles outside of the ring... no idea yet what is going on there. There are also some inside of the cromlech ring, which appear to be part of the structure, possibly even forming interior rings as there are several flat small stones following a circle and smaller cobbles. Nice architecture, but slow work to clean it! Right now it looks like a concave or deflated stepped cromlech. We'll see what happens (if it continues) when we clean off the cobbles and work on locus 3.
I sketched the cromlech architecture in the western part of the trench with SW's assistance.
LK visited and put in new bench marks, measured Datum A, and took the corners of Trench 01.
Progress was made; if we have more full days we might actually get somewhere.
