Today we walked Transect 39 north to the highway in order to finish that final triangle of the region by the road in Ar/Ku. I only recorded a soviet sprinkler. Then we moved to the area immediately west of the transects we had done by the road. Transect 40 ran north, Transect 41 ran south and Transect 42 ran north again I didn't find anything to mark down on these transects. At the beginning of Transect 43, which ran south, I traced a terrace wall along the top of a hill where there appeared to be a lot more evidence for terracing. Among these terrace walls at the top of a hill I found a single sherd. Transect 44 ran south and began south of Transects 40-43. I picked up a number of small artifact scatters of both obsidian and sherds along the way. The transect was mainly made up of several hills cut by small creeks. Transect 45 was east of 44 and ran north. I picked up a piece of obsidian near the beginning but the transect was otherwise mostly made up of fields.
