Today we spent the early morning ground truthing a site that Elizabeth had identified on QGIS. In fact there were several structures there with clear rooms and walls and a wealth of artifacts with some glass. It seems the site had a medieval occupation but potentially early ones as well. We took 2 Km transects and covered the region between this site and the southern most end of the 2015 Ar/Ni region. I recovered a single artifact scatter at the end of Transect 46 which ran north. This artifact scatter was near where I had gathered another in 2015. Transect 47 ran south and had an artifact scatter near the beginning, otherwise the transect was punctuated by clearance walls. Transect 48 headed south and I found nothing to record.
