In the Kuchak survey quadrant we continued to work today, filling in areas covered initially last week west of the M3 highway. Here, our collections and records consisted mostly of Soviet clearance, but also several multi-course walls running across the landscape that looked to be "historical," possible preSoviet in nature. The general archaeological paucity of the results here is interesting in its positioning so close to Kuchak II.
