I spent the morning today working on pXRF data collection with Kate Franklin and Astrigh Babajanyan from MASC. In the afternoon I joined the survey team to check on the Lusagyugh burial burial clusters recorded last year. A we suspected, our reevaluation established that clusters XXX are better interpreted as rock piles and not burials. The spatial dispersion of each mound was the critical parameter in moving our of the dataset from the "burial column." We will continue to reevaluate the 2014-15 clusters as time permits this season.
