Today we groundtruthed previously-surveyed sites, including two burial clusters which turned out to be piles of rocks, most likely left over from the reforestation projects. Near the Mirak reservoir, we recorded a new cluster of about two cromlechs and one kurgan. We also climbed up to the Bronze Age fortress behind Jarjaris, to see if we could find any material, but we left with only one undiagnostic sherd. Part of the fortifications remain, but the entire hill (including the summit) has been furrowed, again probably for reforestation. We then explored the hill to the east of the excavations in the Aparaniberd burial cluster and came away with a bag of obsidian and sherds. Finally, we groundtruthed some burials below the current excavations in Aparaniberd's burial cluster, and with one exception. they turned out to indeed be cromlechs.
