Today we spent the day ground truthing in the area surrounding the Aparan reservoir. We investigated a hill to the north east which did not show signs of any occupation. Then we investigated a few points of interest we had noted on the aerial photography. None of them revealed a site. We then came to the south western part of the reservoir where we collected an artifact scatter from the previously noted and excavated site of Aparan 3. We then did some more fruitless ground truthing near kuchak before we were rained out.
