Today we completed four transects connecting with some transects from 2015 near Aparan. Transect 89 ran north a little over a km and I found nothing there to record. At the end of the transect we reviewed several points from 2015 which had been recorded as burials and clusters which turned out not to be so. We only kept a single cluster in this area. Transect 90 ran south and I only recorded a single isolated architecture point of a single course wall made of larger stones running between the bottom of two hills. The geo-database had no service so I was unable to trace the wall. Transect 91 was similarly barren, I only recorded a field clearance wall and a terrace which appeared modern. Transect 92 was the final transect in the area and we spaced on in 60 meter transects instead of 50 in order to completely fill the gap we were trying to fill. Between the end of Transect 91 and the beginning of Transect 92 I recorded a field clearance wall that crossed a drainage and may be an anti-erosion wall as well. At the beginning of Transect 92 I recovered an entire obsidian Achulean handaxe near the base of the first hill in an erosion cut as well as a second smaller obsidian tool. I recorded another field clearance wall along the slope of the hill higher up. In a cut on the east side of the same hill I found an obsidian scatter with quite a bit of debitage. The rest of the transect was empty.
