Today we focused on cleaning the carpet of rocks across the trench and trying to define a wall and identify which rocks were floaters and could be removed without damaging potential architecture. We removed several smaller floating rocks from the N corner and hopefully will continue to do the same across the trench on Monday. The trench continued to remain Locus 01 with no noticeable soil change until the very end of the day. At that point I decided to call the wall emerging in the E corner of the trench Locus 02 and the soil change currently visible in the N corner and a bit in the W corner. It seems that as long as the soil is the same across the trench the soil change on the outside of the wall will become Locus 03 and I plan on calling any soil change within the wall Locus 04. The wall itself enters the trench at the NE side forms a corner and exits the trench on the SE side. At the end of the day I drew a section of the NE side of Mirak operation 01 trench. As it was not a culturally significant trench I only drew the one side that best represented the soil changes. On Monday I plan on drawing the Mirak Operation 02 trench.
