Today we spent the morning sweeping and photographing Mirak Operation 02 as we close this operation for now. As a result all of my Loci from this operation are now closed. After photographing the trench from all four sides we moved down slope to continue our work at Mirak Operation 03. Mirak Op. 03 had only had the topsoil removed on Friday of the previous week. We continued, calling the soft dark brown soil beneath Locus 02. We removed a rather large floating rock from this locus, and we had a good amount of sherds and bones from this locus. About 40-50cm down we reached a change in soil to a dusty, fine, silty lighter soil and called it Locus 03. Same frequency of sherds and bone as well as a few pieces of obsidian. Tomorrow we will continue this work. As a side note, My workers we quite lazy and tired this morning and after I spoke with them about it Narek and Armen were lovely and listened well but Arman continued to be difficult until he was spoken to by Karen and Alan. The rest of the day, they worked very well.
