Today I had a comedic archaeological moment. I realized that in the northern extension of T38 we were in fact excavated a 1x1m unit (T37F) from my 2016 excavations. Shout out goes to Emil who uncovered this "pit" that was a precise square. Thankfully this archaeology of archaeology conundrum was quickly resolved when i took the time to look up and realize where I was...
In other news of the day, we continued to excavate the collapse in locus 48 immediately west of the northern extension of the n-s terrace wall. We also began to articulate the join between walls 26 and 31, which we uncovered in the 2016 season. I can sense the end is nearing in this unit, but I will enjoy being in this trench until the time comes!
