Narrative

Today we spent the day at Dzoraklugh. We ground truthed what appeared to be a very large standing stone SE of the line of kurgans in this area. It turned out to be just a very large rock. Then we walked north along the slope and put in points for a series of corrals and possibly an early modern settlement along the bottom of the opposite slope. There were dozens of walled enclosures, made of the local scree. Some structures had walls several courses high, and while the interior stones were faced, there was no cement of any sort holding the masonry together. Later we droned the Kurgans in a number of drone flights.
