We worked today on the transect area west of Dzoraglukh, amidst the wide obsidian field associated with the T'tvakar source. I was supervising Chris and Salpi, as Ian was performing remote sensing and mapping at Gegharot. We therefore collected a large number of obsidian scatters and minimal site IDs. Again, most of this material would be associated with monuments list site 2.46.1.
After walking several additional NS transects, we began to work W-E, as the forest on the north flank of the valley infringed southward towards the agricultural fields. Tomorrow, we should be able to work into the areas immediately in the vicinity of Dzoraglukh village and hopefully identify the LM cemetery where Gregory Areshian excavated in the 1970s.
