Well it was another hot one on the western slope of Gegharot! Today we received a little clarity in T44 -- the east-west "wall" is in fact a wall. This is to say that it consists of more than three stones and seems to have a second course. The north-south wall also delivered some good news with its third course!
Unsurprisingly, we continued to expand the operation. We added an additional 2 meters to the north. The density of cultural materials increased considerably within the room (locus 3) as we began to excavate it down. While we are not yet near the floor it seems wise to better understand (e.g. uncover) the full extent/ contours of the architecture before excavating further.
