July 18, 2018. Aftter a.m. grant work, I kept on inventorying. I am definitely finding matches between loci as I have been comparing as I go. I am labeling the bones with tape for locus and also to keep track of what the heck they are. I've found a few pairs. I'm wondering if there are some very young individuals... I am also packing up fragments and small bones after counting as it is unlikely that I will be matching those. Certainly, given time, and a giant room, there is much that could be bone in terms of both matching fragments and differentiating small bones. However, it really won't work under the present time constraints and the space. My new motto is "analysis good" vs. "restoration/preservation" good. I'll just need another Fulbright year where my only responsibility is taking care of bones!
