Alright so I've been less than perfect about my journal entries this season... but here I present you with an end of the week summary of the past few days.
Camp Aragats spent two days at the Gegharot trenches! It was great to have so much girl power there while it lasted. Given the prevalence of teenage boys in my operation they were more than thrilled to show off for the ladies. Sadly amidst the excitement it hasn't been the most productive as of recent. The biggest development is the presence of several pits or pit like features along the two walls. The cuts into bedrock are explicitly clear, however, so far the fills are pretty sterile.
Today was a bit like managing kindergarten on site. These boys aren't exactly well trained so I need to continue to watch them like hawks. Every time I went to work on defining the pits I had to go check up on them an re-instruct them. It's the end of a long week, but still would be nice to have some more experienced workers in the trench helping out.
Plan for tomorrow is deal with the pits, catch up on notes, and continue peeling back the non-floor, culturally rich surface.
