We started the day by excavating locus 11, which is located along the W facade of Wall 1 in T46. This locus appears to cover a cultural level characterised by the presence of occasional charcoals and potential materials in situ (such as a fragmentary hearth/andiron and faunal remains). However, the extension of the working area is rather limited and challenges the understanding of these features in association with Wall 1. We therefore decided to extend T46 by another 1m in W direction, thus extending this operation to a 8 x 6 m trench.
We spent the second half of the day removing the topsoil from the new extension.
