A foggy morning, but clear skies today. We have a half day today and we plan to continue excavating in locus 22. Once the locus has become level with locus 20 they will be combined and dug together.
Locus 22 has been completely removed and both northern trench extensions are now being excavated as locus 24. Locus 24 came down upon a packed silt floor and at least one rodent burrow has been sunk into this floor. The pit feature identified as locus 23 and other rock formations from locus 20 seem to also sit on this floor. Both the floor (locus 25) and the first confirmed rodent burrow (locus 25) are our newest locci.
