Today we worked in C7, C8 and C10 simultaneously. In C7, we continued to break the large boulders that cross loci 15 and 16. In C8, we worked on clearing the area exterior to WC301, which was defined today as locus 12. Here we found 2 carbon samples, a bone bead, a mortar, and a concentrated bunch of snail shells. In C10 we continued to clear rocks. In the process we exposed one wall that runs from the nw baulk into the center of the trench. Created locus 2 today, marked by what might be our first floor. An in situ vessel was found, associated with this floor [and neighboring wall?]. Also created locus 3, in the n quad of the trench. This is still a wash level, but it has been cleared of fallen rocks, and can now be excavated. Finally, we found a tethering ring on one of the rocks in the se side of the trench. This rock may be part of another wall.
