We continued to work in three trenches today. Some workers cleaned in C7 and C8 for Hasmik. We excavated locus 7 of C10, until we encountered a tan clay surface that rested atop two round stone basins [One has a brick along its rim, and both are ringed with the tan clay.]. The top of these basins marks the top of a new locus - 12. [The basins and their matrix were given new loci numbers.] Aside from the clay atop the basins, the matrix of locus 12 is another ashy silty level, that is very deep. Small finds from locus 12 included a bone blade handle, carbon samples and an andiron.
