I was very sick all day today so things moved rather slowly. In WSC we took locus 5 down to bedrock. It's now clear why the clay level was so thick in the northern part of the trench. There a large bedrock in the south side so the clay was added in the north to even out the floor. In WSJ, we took locus 4 down to bedrock, cleaning off as much of the clay as possible to expose the underlying bedrock. Also proceeded a bit further in locus 7 of the WSJ extension. Started a new operation in another corner of room C, which I've called WSC2. It's the northeast corner of the room. Just got through topsoil - locus 1.
