Today we plan to dig our staircase and to completely clean locus thirty. .Weather is cooler and cloudier.
The staircase is complete in the NE corner (with sod matting) and locus 29 has been completely removed. The NE corner of locus 29 contained a depression, a small boulder, and more bones from our modern burrowing guest.
Locus 30 has been removed from most of the western side of the trench. One dark stain is also present in locus 31 there.
