Still working in both A and B. In A, we are basically cleaning up the section. This means that we are still removing the wall fall (A2) that is less than a meter from the south baulk and then the tan ashy soil beneath it (A3). Made a window in the northeast quadrant of A to see if we should continue A3 or not. ATS noted that the material became much more densely packed and even somewhat clayey, so we change to A9. Among the wall fall found a large stone mushroom - it was from the SE corner near the baulk in A2. In B, we continued working in the east extension (B14, but also in the main part of the trench (B12). In B12, found several stones in a rough square/circle thin - it has been given a separate locus - B15 b/c ATS and RB think it may be a hearth or oven - want to screen and take soil samples. It is being left alone for the time being b/c the soil needs to dry out before we remove it. In the matrix of B12 was another burned beam - B16 - removed for C14 and possibly dendro.
