Today I selected a datum for NT01A. It is on a rock in the NE corner of the trench. It was not shot in, but measured from the topsoil in the SW corner. Elevation of this datum is 2165.292. Continued leveling in A and it is clear that we are still in wash b/c of a piece of modern glass in the deposit. There are some large stones peeking out from the west side of the south baulk - might be interesting. Also began NT01B today - removed topsoil. There are several stones right beneath the surface. They are linear and Armine thinks they may be promising. We barely had a chance to begin leveling, but a yellow geological sample was kept for the geologist to look at. I was taken from the south baulk, inbetween some rocks. No elevations were taken b/c this locus will continue tomorrow.
