Continuing to work in B26, still screening. The work is going faster despite the wind, b/c I told them that I am leaving and we have to hurry. Still screening this material - mostly what is showing up in the screen is charcoal - there is an awful lot here. It is very patchy, though - not beams but twigs and fragments. Found floor up against the wall - traced it out for a good 30 or 40 cm away from the wall. It is best preserved close to the stones and it seems to slope down somewhat when you move away from them to the north. Took carbon samples from 10cm above the floor and from directly on (or possibly even embedded in) the floor. In C, finished C8 -- took it down to mottled black, brown, orange surface. Two rows of stones have appeared which look suspiciously like walls - there is a drawing. It occurred to me today that the bottom of this locus is at nearly the same elevation as the floor we found in B18 and given the mottled surface it may be a floor. ATS is going to come look at it tomorrow. Spent some time removing the orange clay deposits in C7. Even though the deposit changes from orange to a reddish brown beneath that, and sometimes grey-ashy I have not changed the loci b/c I want to get this side of the trench down to the same level as C8 and then take both sides down together.
