Narrative

We are continuing to work in both A and B. In A2, there is very dense wall fall in a medium to dark brown matrix. The stones are getting larger - but there is nothing like a wall here, so we continue to pull them out. At the end of the day, we came upon a light tan ashy deposit in the NW corner of the trench - will level tomorrow and change loci. Today in B we added on an extension - it is 2.5 x 2.5 and is in the SE half of the trench - the point is to find the rest of Wall B3. Workers are removing topsoil and leveling. Later in the day it is clear that Wall B3 does not continue, which doesn?t make any sense. Adam is making fun of Ruben about it. There is a lot of material - bone is most abundant - in the area that *should* have been behind the rest of the wall. Underneath the topsoil, we have divided this extension into "what should be behind the wall" and "what should be outside of the wall. Outside of the wall (B8), we removed more wash - it is approximately equiavalent to B2 in the main portion of the trench. I am hoping to run into the tan charcoal matrix when we get down further, but there is no sign of it. There are some rocks, which look like fall, but we wall leave them for tomorrow. We are still working in B5, which is the main part of the south trench - I have made a small window to see if there are any changes in the next 20 cm or so. Nothing looks different, and Wall B4 keeps going down, so tomorrow I will keep going down. (Rest of the day spent on the new extension)
