Among the spreading karas sherds I've collected vessel(s) E520 with ATS today with E521 as a contents soil sample. Beams also continue to be collected here (locus E522). In the NE trench corner we've encountered a new deposit / level as E523, a packed, yet mottled level above the destruction level and south of the 3-sided stone construction / possible hearth. The level contains numerous orange clay lenses at 52-58cm BS. A charcoal sample was taken from this locus - it's unclear how late this level may be, or if it's distrubed, etc? Another beam ends our day as locus E524, even deeper at 70BS.
