As we push further south in E538 we've delimited an E549 pit from which charcoal was collected - still unclear if this feature is part of the nearby rodent burrows or a legitimate in situ installation. In the shrine E546 has come down upon orange bedrock. We've cleared E538 today to the southern edge of T2, exposing all fragments and vessels here along the way. In the southeast corner of E538 a higher 'hump' of clayey silt (and slightly darker orange) is present. We're also beginning the final removal of the E514 destruction layer, exposing the stone floor completely. In addition, we performed a small cut Cut above E538 to tidy up the EB section view.
