Chilly and cloudy today, but only a very slight breeze. We will continue to remove the C10 pedestal and to expose the intersection of walls. Another task today will be to further define the possible southern extension of the Late Bronze wall to the citadel wall.
We have excavated 2 additional locci today from the pedestal after the removal of locus 51. The pedestal is now completely gone. One of these locci, 52, was completely sterile clay. Following the pedestal excavations, we removed the eastern side of the ashy layer adjacent to the carved basins (locus 54). Cleaning of the stones in the possible wall extension and further excavations of locus 54 should define wall or rubble hear.
