Narrative

All workers in WSL today. We continued in locus 17, an amazingly thick level of the white plaster. In the very west corner there is a defined silty area which seems to be another pit, where two sherds were found. Otherwise, no materials in this locus. Under locus 17 we encountered a very sandy orange clay with a darker, decomosing rock-type powder beneath it. This is locus 18. In the extension to WSL we worked in locus 15, gradually trying to expose the two walls. The situation here is unusual. There are some small rocks between the walls which don't clearly articulate with the large boulders of the wall. This not a rubble core wall, as in WSK. At the same time the matrix of locus 15 seems to be a clay fill and not a natural wash. I think this may be a passageway between the rooms.
