06/19/06 Today we continued the slow work of removing the dirt from WSH 2. This consumed the entire day. The trench was quite uneven, so I decided to excavate a little deeper in the southeast side to even out locus 2 before changing locus and continuing in the wash level. This next locus change will just be for the sake of stratigraphic control in such a large trench, and not because of any clear matrix change. Removing the dirt from locus 2 took the entire day. A few workers cleaned the rocks of all of the walls. The architecture seems to be well-built and well-preserved. It rained in the afternoon so we took a long lunch break at Vachik's house (Our driver, Vartan, had left for the afternoon so we had no car in which to take cover).
